How does the process work?
Ordering your custom rug is simple:
- Choose your desired rug size.
- Upload your design, logo, or inspiration image.
- We create a digital mockup/proof of your rug design.
- You approve your proof (we offer unlimited edits!).
- We hand-tuft, glue, carve, and ship your finished rug.
What image or design works best for a custom rug?
For the best results, choose an image or design that has clear lines and distinct colours. While we can tuft beautiful details, bold designs and clear colour separations translate best into yarn. If you’re unsure if your design will work, feel free to reach out before ordering!
How long does a custom hand-tufted rug take to make?
Hand-tufting is a time-intensive craft! Here is our typical timeline:
- Proof created: Approximately 3 days
- Unlimited edits: Included
- Production: Tufting, gluing, backing, drying, and carving takes time. Typically, custom rugs are completed and delivered within 3–4 weeks after you approve your design. Need it sooner? Priority options may be available at checkout.
How is my order shipped and can I track it?
We use trusted delivery services depending on your location, and shipping options will be displayed at checkout. Once your custom rug has been completed and dispatched, you will receive a tracking link by email so you can follow its journey to your door.
Can I request specific details or yarn colours in my design?
Absolutely. We have a wide variety of yarn colours available. If you want to change a colour from your original image, add text, or highlight a specific detail, just leave a note when ordering. We will make sure your digital proof reflects your exact vision before we start tufting.
Do you only tuft specific things?
While logos and characters are highly popular, we are happy to consider almost any custom tufting idea! Whether it's an abstract shape, typography, a pet silhouette, or a unique geometric pattern, get in touch with your idea and we'll let you know what's possible.
What if I'm not happy with my order?
We want you to love your rug! That is why we offer unlimited edits to your digital proofbeforeproduction begins, allowing you to refine the design before a single piece of yarn is stitched. Because every rug is custom-made, we cannot offer refunds once the tufting process has started. However, if your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will work with you to make it right.
Do you offer gift options?
Yes! A custom hand-tufted rug makes an incredibly unique and thoughtful gift for housewarmings, birthdays, or holidays. You can add a gift note at checkout, and we can ship the rug directly to the recipient.
How do I care for my custom tufted rug?
To keep your rug looking fluffy and vibrant:
- Vacuum gently using a low-suction setting (avoid heavy beater-bars that can pull the yarn).
- Spot clean any spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
- Keep away from areas with high moisture or heavy, muddy foot traffic. (Note: Light shedding is completely normal for new tufted rugs and will subside over time!)
